1. If You Have 100+ Pixel Events

From our experience it’s best to use 1% lookalikes on “Top of the funnel” metrics, such as video views, page views etc, as you have a small sample size.


These audiences can be used for a new store to slowly try to scale sales up.

Now you have enough data to expand. You can start to test 1-3% page view and other top of the funnel metrics to see their performance.

But more importantly you can start utilizing the “Mid and bottom funnel” metrics. These are key if you want to start scaling your store.

Your pixel has been primed. You have a ton of data it can use.

Now rather than going for quantity, you should focus on quality. For example, we’ve seen 3% top 25% time spent perform extremely well.

This is when you should start to test every single % range. Every percentage individually 1-10%.

Here’s a super quick way you can create a new LLA for each percentage.

Go to Business Tools > Audiences > Create a Lookalike Audience

Then go to select audience size and pick 10

It’s important to test each audience and then try stacking them on top of each other.
